Anthony Mackie will move his West End production of Macbeth to Broadway, coming back to live theatre after a long absence. He will play the title role, with the run set to run until July 2027.
The production began its run in the West End before the Broadway transfer was confirmed by entertainment outlets. The move is a notable step for a performer who has spent years in front of a camera.
After his Broadway run concludes, Mackie has confirmed he will film Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduling the blockbuster in after his stage work finishes.
